As the popularity of ceramic tiles have waxed and waned over the years, people have looked for various ways to differentiate their home from others. They want to bring class and style in their living space. Metal wall tile offer an attractive solution to the question: What do I put on my walls? Metal wall tiles are robust and striking. They come in various styles, molds, and colors. This versatility is highly sought after by leading interior designers. Metal wall tiles are excellent accents or primary centerpieces in any environment. However, knowing what styles and types to pick can be time intensive. To help us with our designing dilemma Lets look at copper metal tile.

As early as 6000 B.C., copper was used for making beautiful jewelry worn by Egyptian pharos and was considered a precious metal. Once the Egyptians learned how to hammer native copper into sheets they made tools for building and ornaments like copper tile to adorn the buildings they made. Copper tiles were chosen for beautifying Egyptians buildings because of the resistant qualities copper has to deep corrosion, in that it will not rust. In damp air, copper tiles turns from a reddish-orange to a reddish-brown color. Today we find examples of aged copper on homes with copper rain gutters or copper awnings. These copper accents beautify and add uniqueness to the home giving the home owner creative standing over other homes in the neighborhood.

Current trends have taken copper to new places in our own personal Egyptian palace we call home. Decorative hand-carved copper tiles are finding their way into elegant tile designs as center pieces to larger ceramic tile patterns. Entryway tiled floors, kitchen backsplashes, bathroom tiled floors, tiled bathtubs, fireplace mantles, and other tile covered surfaces are being beautified by homeowners with copper tiles.

So, with the addition of metal tile in your ceramic tiling projects you can go from ordinary to extraordinary.
